Hi Friend!,
I’m Rachel Antelman. Where to even begin? I’m happily married and have 3 boys and a puppy.
I haven't always been into health and wellness. I had a stroke when I was 29 and 2 young children. I thought I was healthy but I got sick ALL the time. I had no energy. I walked on occasion but never worked out because I thought chasing my kiddos was enough. I ate a cinnamon roll almost daily for breakfast and had an iced mocha too. I ate whatever I wanted.
We felt called to help plant a church in Madison Wisconsin in 2018 after our last son was born. My only friends convinced me to run a half marathon with them. Well, one and DONE. Never will I ever again. But I started to get a little taste of what it felt like to actually fuel my body and take care of it. After our half they told me I needed to try group ex and the rest is history.
Fast forward 3 years.
Now, I am a fitness instructor at our local gym. I teach at least 6 classes a week. (4 different formats weekly) I went from a size 12 in 2018 to a 0 in 2022 and I’ve maintained and gained muscle since then. I’m not trying to lose weight or be a certain size, but finally finding food freedom and a way to lose fat without a diet or extreme hrs at the gym was huge for me. I slowing added sustainable habits that helped me get to where I am today. We call them the “Sustainable Six”.
Eat Fueling foods (HIGH PROTEIN, the rainbow (LOTS of veggies), and always complex carbs you need energy!
Walk outside at least 30 mins daily
Workout 30-60mins inside daily 3X a week strength training, and 2X Hiit training (rest days and sleep are essential too!)
Read your bible and journal daily with gratitude and thankfulness. Set daily goals!
Take quality supplements that fill nutritional gaps. DON’T guess. And drink LOTS of water with minerals to absorb your nutrients.
Do something daily that brings you JOY!
I’ll write weekly about how I practically do each of these and WHY. I know education is key. I’m so incredibly passionate about helping people feel amazing in their skin. NO DIETS, NO cutting out foods you love, No Hrs and hrs in the gym. Just sustainable healthy lifestyle habits.
